Just wanted to post a picture of this....my cat came in my room after I made it and was trying to force his head in it...lol I think it was the shells but I'm not sure

On Sunday the 22nd we met with our first officiant. We met at The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse.  She was wonderful. We really meshed well with her. Every question we had she answered, she had great ideas and was so nice! My FI and I have some pretty specific things we would like done during the ceremony, somethings we do and don't want said, and she was great with it. I don't have a great relationship with my real father, however despite that I'm trying to be the bigger person and I'm letting him walk me down the aisle. I made it very clear to him that he is NOT giving me away. I told her I don't want "Who gives this woman" unless we can somehow incorporate my mother and step father. She said she would work on a way to word it that I'll like.

We're also going to do a sand ceremony and a hand ceremony. We'll be signing the marriage certificate during the wedding too. I am still trying to figure out who to have sign as my witness. I'm not sure who FI is going to pick either. My Matron of Honor/best freind had me sign hers and I felt so honored to be doing that for her. I'd really like to have her do it for me but I'd also like my sister to do it. Or My mom. I don't know what to do. I know to some people this doesn't really matter but to me it's a big deal.

It's nice that we hit it off so great with this officiant and we don't have to meet any more. Her name is Rev. Janice DeVille.

Well today was a very long day at work. There are some issues going on with my co-workers and my supervisor, manager AND director. I won't go into detail because it really is a ton of drama but it has been going on for a long time, and today it got so much worse. Unfourtunatly the work enviroment I'm in right now is counter-productive and that is very tiring at the end of the day.

Anyway, I did make an appointment to meet our florist. She is actually a woman I have known since I was in high school. Her and her sister ran a dance studio that my matron of honor (my best friend) and I danced at. They have since closed the studio and now they do flowers on the side. They did my best friends flowers last June and it was beautiful. I am meeting with her on Monday morning. IT kinda sucks because my mom has to work that morning and I really wanted her to come with me. I did ask my best friend to come with me. She said she has to rearange some things and I really hope she can. I really want her to be there with me. She is a teacher and she is on spring break so that helps. I'm also going to have my little sister, who is my maid of honor, to come as well. We aren't doing flowers for the center pieces so it shouldn't be too expensive!

We are also meeting with our first officiant this Sunday. That will be interesting. I'm not really sure what to expect. What questions am I suposed to ask? Hopefully we'll hit it off right away and pick her lol. I'm tired of trying to find these vendors. I'm ready for the wedding.

On this last Monday we met our photographers downtown for lunch and then did our engagement shoot. We had such a great time. Our photographers are awesome and really made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. We can't wait to see our pictures and are so excited to have Ryan and Stacey be there for our wedding day!!!!

This is kinda old news but we had a cake tasting with Kelley from Kelley's Kakes. I think that was 3 weeks ago. She is a very sweet lady and we had a good time meeting with her. It was a little packed but fun. My mother, sister, FFIL, FMIL, FI and my self were all there! We really like Kelley. He cake is amazing and she really helped us narrow down what we wanted. She even drew a cute picture of it. Her prices are also pretty good. A little more than Amy's though. This is a tough decision. We really liked them both, and it might just come down to costs. So far I would recommend both of them. Hopefully we can pick one soon!!
