I got my order in today from Anchor Paper.

I started to post this last month but never got around to it. This is the paper that I ordered from Anchor Paper. I can't say enough great things about ordering from Tom. He was very helpful and sent my order very quickly. I am using Road To The Aisle which is Heather's website. I think I've posted this already but I want to make sure anyone who looks at any directions I post knows that I got it from her.

These things took me forever! I only had to make 78 but it felt like 1 million. I just finished tapeing and folding the last 17 I had laying around. They aren't perfect thats for sure. It seems that when I was cutting some of them they were uneven so they don't look perfect. But I'm done with them for now. I can't remember if I made enough for extras but I have a feeling I'll have to make more when and if we get to the B list.

We still have a lot to do. All I have completed is the actual construction of the pocket fold themselves. We did also get the backing cut to size. So when ever my FI fixes our invitaion wording we can print them. I've also finished the RSVP cards which took a while as well. Those still need printed. Man, we also have to make hotel blocks so I can make the accomodation card. And finally the map. Opps, I actually still have the belley bands to make, and our monogram so I can put it on the belly band. This is a lot of work!

The picture below is with the tape I used to make the pocket. It's called Terrifically Tacky Tape. I used 1/4 inch wide. There isn't a dispenser for this tape. But with a little patieints it works fine.

You have to peel back the thin red top layer and that is whats pictured below.

I just scheduled to day our engagement shoot! I'm very happy about this as many of you know. We are going on Monday March 16th in Downtown Denver. I can't wait to get these pictures taken.

Also we had our first cake tasting on Monday with Amy's Unique Cakes. She was wonderful and we loved her cakes! She brought cupcakes for us to try. She is very reasonably priced which is a great plus! My mom and sister (who is also my Maid of Honor) came with my FI and I and they loved every thing too. We were suposed to meet with a second baker that night but she got a stomach bug and our tasing date is now pending. Can't wait to try them all lol!

Ok, we had some rocky ground there for a little while about weather the dress shop would re order a dress for me. After a little drama and the best dress shop owner out there, Dana, said she would be more than happy to send back the dress and order the right size! I am so happy and so relieved. Buying my dress was the one thing in this whole wedding planning process that hadn't caused me any problems. And I'm happy to say that is still the case. Well...lol I guess, I'd rather everything ran a little more smoothly.

She did ask if I'd like to come back in this Saturday to try on the  size I want to order in the same designer just to be 100% sure. ( they only have a size 10 in my dress)  I'm fine with that. Although it is a long drive (over an hour) I'm happy to try a wedding dress on again. And honestly a little scared ha ha what if I like it too much? :-) They are going to rush deliver it but it won't be in until about May 12th. That is a little nerve racking. Getting the dress in two months before the wedding. Is anyone else getting their dress that close to the wedding? Well thanks for reading!

Yay!!!! I got to try my wedding dress on for the first time on Valentines Day! How romantic is that?? Well...not really. When I went in to order my dress they only had a size 10. The woman I ordered my dress from had to pull it really tight from behind and hide behind me so we could take pictures of how it would look when it fitted. Well, when I came back a week later to show my dad, (who paid for it) I wanted to order a size smaller, which is an 8. (which is the size I was. The sales lady kept saying that it would be easier to order it too big and take it in than it would be to take it out. Now I understand. A LOT of brides try and order a smaller size and then dont' lose weight and have to go through hoops to either fit in the dress or order a new one. BUT I KNOW ME!!! I'm OBSEVIVE! The 10 was already WAY too big. HOWEVER the girl I bought it from kept saying "We have a GREAT seamstress and you can size down two sizes" please take some time to look at my website under Atire and look at my dress. It is VERY intricate. I kept saying "I don't want this dress to be runied I'd rather order a smaller size I know I'll lose weight" but she INSISTED I order a 10. AGAIN I was already an 8....so because I trusted the sales consultant and I've never bought a wedding dress before I trusted her and ordered the 10.

Well needless to say I tried it on and I was able to step OUT of the dress. Agian look at it in my atire page. This is a dress I should only be able to get into head first. The lady that was there said the dress was WAY to big. She asked it I had been measured before ordering the dress and I told her no. Which is true. She never measured me. So the lady said it would be no problem to return it and rush order a 6. I am sooooo relived. Im relived because I signed a contract saying a size 10 but since I was talked into the bigger size and was never measured they said it was no problem. YAY! Expecting a size 6 soon!!! Can't wait.

p.s. I tried to post this on Sunday but I hit back space and delted the whole thing!

Whew! What a load off this is. I'm really happy to have found someone that fits in our budget and has EVERY thing we want! I really can't believe it!!!! We wanted 2 photographers, more than 5 hours, an engagement sesion, rights to the pictures, and friendly photographers....WE FOUND THEM! And right in our budget. I'm still shocked. We had given up on the idea of having professional engagement pictures because we are paying for the wedding and have no money for that. We had FFIL take some really good pics and used one for our save the date magnets but thought that would be it. Well our photographer includes a sesion in the package to get to know eachother. I'm so happy about that. We are thinking about going downtown to get them taken. Probably the first week of March. I know it'll be so much fun.

I serisouly can not wait to get married! Really I'm so excited to become a wife and have my best friend in the whole world become my Husband! Thats not really an update but thought I'd throw it in there haha.

The Dress

My dress is in! A few weeks a go my bridal shop called to tell me thery were staying in bussiness (BIG relief for all of us) and that my dress should be in February 13th! Thats over a months and a half earlier than they thought! So I planned on going with my mom on sister (also my maid of honor) Sat to try it on. I called Monday to make sure it was still scheduled to arrive this week. The lady put me on hold for 5 mins, came back asked how I spelled my name then said she had a customer and would have to call me back....talk about a mini freak out!!!

Well 45 mins later the owner called, she told me it had arrived that day and she just needed to take it out of the box and steam it!!!! I'm SO happy it's here! I can't wait to try it on. :-)

I'm trying it on the 14th. I love that I'll be wearing my wedding dress for the first time on Valentines day! Can we say Romantic?

The Cake

First cake tasting is scheduled for Monday the 16th at 9am. Is it just me or is that early for a ake tasting? lol oh well. We are meeting with Amy's Unique Cakes at a Starbucks. Then we have our second tasting with Kelley Kakes @ 6pm that same day also at a Starbucks lol. I like that we were able to do two in one day. FI and I only have Sundays and Mondays off together so this really helps. I'm still waiting to hear back from a third baker I e-mailed to set a tasting.  I'm excited to do cake tastings. I've been looking forward to this since we got engaged lol!
