Lionscrest Manor
This place is so beautiful! We searched all over the mountain areas looking for the perfect place for us. We spent a couple weekends driving around Evergreen, Golden, Lyons, and so many hours searching the internet, and Sites and Services magazine. We almost went with Mount Vernon Country club, but we didn't like that there was a swimming pool with a huge slide RIGHT next to the ceremony...and the other available ceremony spot didn't really make a good isle to walk down. Which I found out on that first trip was very important to FI. Other than that the place was nice. Another runner up was The Pines at Genesse. We loved the out side ceremony area, it is a very lovely place for a ceremony, however it didn't really meet our reception needs. And there is a highway right behind the reception area and that is another thing we were picky about.  Well any way, there was a lot of searching before we found Lionscrest. 

The ceremony will be out side (top pic) over looking Steamboat Mountain. The stone you see in the right conor of the pic is actually a set of stairs that come from the side of the manor. This is where I'll be walking down. I haven't decided if BP will too, and I think my dad will be waiting at the bottom of the stairs. I can't remember exactly but I think they are too narrow to walk down together. There are so many photo ops all around this property. 

Then we will go inside for cocktails, dinner and dancing! The place is pretty big but I can't find many pics to show you. (BTW these pics are from The Knot and I believe they got them from www.lionscrestmanor.com ) The next pic is where the festivites will be. 
Every time I look at these pics I'm so happy we found and booked this place! There are two levels. I am a little worried about how we will split the guests up. Some will have to sit in the upper level. I think there will be about 5 tables up there, so hopefully no one will be lonely. :-(

The stairs you see here are leading away from the cocktail hour. There is a set of double doors that will be closed until we are ready for dinner. One the doors are opened this will be what the guests see. They will enter from the stairs, and then when BP and FI and I are announced we will come this way too.
